Two Rush leaders are among Crain鈥檚 Chicago Business鈥 39 for 2024.
Crain鈥檚 recognized , director of the Road Home Program at Rush, and , director of RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center, on a list of honorees who 鈥渄emonstrate significant accomplishments within their industry.鈥
Ahmed, Crain鈥檚 noted, successfully directed establishment of RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center and 鈥渓eads a partnership that provides Rush patients access to world-class cancer treatments and research.鈥 Crain鈥檚 also mentions her efforts to increase minority participation in clinical research, screen cancer patients for social needs and address disparities in cancer outcomes.
Klassen leads a program that serves more than 2,000 veterans every year with treatments for PTSD and related conditions. He successfully navigated the Road Home Program through the COVID-19 pandemic by negotiating a safe return to in-person programming, Crain鈥檚 reported. Klassen is a clinical psychologist and faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry at Rush.
